Peacock Theme Inspiration

|||Peacock Theme Inspiration

The Peacock theme is really one of our favorite for vow renewals. The peacock in its full colorful glory brings with it a truly rich and fabulous color palette to work with when planning your celebration. Let us not forget the all white peacock, though, which brings with it fresh opportunities to use an all white color palette in a new way.

No matter their color, peacocks are rich in symbolic meaning across cultures and religions, but all agree there is something truly special about this bird. A few key meanings come immediately to mind when you reflect on peacocks including: immortality, refinement, awakening, glory, vision, spirituality, and incorruptibility. The peacock is a possessor of some of the most admired human characteristics and is a symbol of integrity and the beauty we can achieve when we endeavor to show our true colors. Many cultures believe that they are a symbol of eternal life; the link between heaven and earth. In Asian spirituality, the peacock is also an emblem of love, compassionate watchfulness, good-will, nurturing, and kind-heartedness. Likewise, in Hinduism, the peacock is associated with benevolence, patience, kindness, compassion and good luck. Within the spiritual teachings of Christianity, the peacock represents resurrection, renewal, and immortality. It is even thought that the peacock can relight the fires of an ailing relationship.
