Q. What is a Brunch Reception?

A. Consider yourselves morning people?  Is Sunday brunch is your favorite meal of the week?  Then a brunch reception might be a perfect choice for you.  Typically, a brunch reception follows a morning vow renewal.  See if your house of worship offers the option of a Vow Renewal ceremony after or between services or if you can schedule your ceremony on a Saturday morning.   Follow it with a buffet around 11 a.m. of your brunch favorites such as waffles, French toast, pancakes, eggs benedict, bacon and sausage, as well as, fresh fruits, assorted pastries, croissants, and assorted sweet bread.

If you wanted to forgo the alcohol, a morning reception is perfect since your guests probably won’t expect alcohol.  Coffee, tea, and an assortment of juices should keep guests satisfied.  On the other hand, if you would like to offer some alcohol, champagne and mimosas are absolutely appropriate.
