A. If you would know the spouse of your officiant and would like him or her to also attend, then you should send an invitation to the two of them. Otherwise, since your officiant will be “working” at your vow renewal ceremony, you can count on them being there. If you would like the officiant to attend the reception, you only need to verbally invite them, but be sure to do so before the actual day. It’s not polite to give the impression that their invitation is an afterthought.
